Overview
South King Fire (SKF) creates its annual budget in the summer and fall of the proceeding year. The Board of Fire Commissioners approves the annual budget. The funding for SKF, as approved by the voters, comes from property taxes. Property taxes are collected at a rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed value on all taxable properties within the boundaries of the SKF.
